Quickly, Karyn pulled away. "No, this is wrong. This is so wrong. I'm supposed to be a girl."
"You're better now, Karyn. Now you're my boyfriend," Jenna said, smiling.
"Now I know how you felt."
Jenna became confused. "What are you talking about?"
When Karyn noticed her slip, she said "Uh, nothing."
But Jenna didn't buy it. "No. It's not nothing. What did you mean by that? Did you use the wishing rock on me?"
"Just drop it, okay."
"No. What did you wish for? What did you do to me?"
"It was nothing. I just made it a little easier for you to be a girl."
Jenna stared. "What do you mean? Are you saying I was a guy before?" Thanks to Karyn's wish, Jenna had forgotten everything from her previous life as Jon, which included the fact that she was a guy.
"Well, yeah, but ..."
"I was a guy?" Jenna began to get sick.
"It's no big deal, Jenna. Everything's better now. Remember? That's what you said."
"Yeah, but that's before I found out I used to be a guy."
"Do you want to be a guy again?" Karyn asked, after a few minutes of silence.
Jenna thought about that question. But there was only one answer she could give.
