"Want to try something else?" I asked.
"No, I'll try the same thing. But this time, I'll word it exactly right."
I was about to say that maybe she should leave it alone, but Karyn went ahead and made the same wish, only with different words.
"I wish we had a million dollars," Karyn said, and suddenly piles of quarters appeared around us. There were so many of them that we were buried. I could barely even breathe.
Karyn looked exhasperated. "That's not what I meant! I wish we had a million dollars in dollar bills!" The stone glowed again and we found ourselves buried in a huge pile of one million one-dollar bills.
"Better, but it's still not what I wanted. I thought the stone would just put a million dollars into my bank account or something," Karyn said.
Other people who were in the park saw the piles of cash and began running towards us. Obviously, they wanted some for themselves.
