I decided Karyn's behavior, while certainly pleasant on some levels I didn't want to think about, was definitely odd for her. Perhaps a quick survey of the house would be a good idea. It might help me get some feel for what was going on here, and how the wishes worked. Plus it would get me away from Karyn a bit. I blushed a tad at that thought.
I wandered over to the door and stood on my hind legs, slowly managing to use my paws to turn the doorknob. It was a bit difficult, since my fur kept slipping, but I managed to open the door. I could have shifted to something a bit more human, but the last thing I wanted was Karyn walking in and seeing me like THAT!
"I'm going to go explore a bit Karyn. I'll be back in a bit!" I said in a rush, and shot out the door before she could say anything to make me stay. . Or make me WANT to stay I blushed a bit more.
Breathing a small sigh of relief, I headed over to the stairs, and looked down. Where to go, where to go? I pondered. We were up on the fourth floor in Karyn's bedroom, and as I recalled, the second and third floors had been unlit when we came up. I doubted that would be much of a problem for a cat's keen eyesight, but did I really want to wander around a darkened, wish created house? Maybe there was a reason the floors were dark .?
I figured I'd leave those areas until Karyn was with me. The house was certainly bug enough that the first floor should give me plenty to explore And then another thought occurred to me.
The stone! Maybe I should try to get my paws.. Erm. . Hands on that! Then maybe I could try to figure out why Karyn was acting so odd, and maybe fix it if it was a problem. And maybe fix a few other wishes Though I'd definitely want to leave some wishes, like the house.. And maybe the ability to change forms And almost definitely Karyn's new dimensions I blushed again at that thought and cleared my throat, mentally berating myself. She was my FRIEND!
But Karyn had locked the stone in a safe, right? But still, all you needed to crack a saw was a good ear to listen for the tumblers, right? And I definitely have THOSE! I thought, flicking an ear. At least, that's how it always worked in the movies.
But on the other hand Maybe leaving the stone right where it was and could do the least harm was the best idea. And there WAS plenty here to sate even a cat's curiosity for a while
