The vines wrapped themselves around The Bandit until it seemed like there was no escape for him. But then he turned his flame-thrower towards the moving plants and torched them. Flowergirl cringed at the sight of it.
The Bandit was free again, pushing the burning vines off of him.
Superguy turned towards Anne and said "I think it's your turn Circe."
What was Anne going to do? She hadn't used her "power" yet, so she had no idea how she was supposed to make it happen. Nevertheless, she walked forward towards The Bandit, who seemed to be a little out of breath, but otherwise alert to what was happening around him. He began to turn his flame-thrower towards Anne.
Out of the corner of her eye, Anne saw a guy running away from the fight scene. He looked like a homeless man. She pointed her hand in his direction and suddenly the guy stopped. He turned around and stared at Anne, then his body morphed into a full-sized elephant. The "new" animal ran towards The Bandit with determination. The Bandit wasn't sure what to do. Who would if they saw an elephant running at them? He jumped out of the way at the last moment. But when he did, he dropped his flame-thrower. Superguy walked over and picked it up, then he destroyed it with his super-strength.
"Good job, Circe," Superguy said, as he put The Bandit into custody.
"Uh, thanks ... Superguy." Anne felt ridiculous calling him that. She wondered what his real name was.
The Bandit sat on the ground, bound, and surrounded by the four superheroes.
In the distance, Anne heard sirens, probably belonging to police cars and fire trucks.
"I've got him. You three aren't needed anymore," Superguy said, picking up The Bandit and flying away with him.
The three remaining superheroes looked at each other, then X-Ray Man and Flowergirl walked away. That was it? Anne thought. What do I do now?
What do superheroes do when they're not being superheroes?
