I looked down at the box with the wishing stone in it as I prepared to leave the house. What should I do with THAT? I certainly didn't want to make any more fool hearty wishes. It was going to take a lot of hard thinking before I came up with something safe to reverse this mess. And it was unlikely I'd have a chance to do that at Mark's With all the studying, of course.

I shook my head a bit. On the other hand, leaving it behind seemed like a bad idea too. What if it got lost? Or stolen? Or someone used it by accident. I could just imagine the mess it would cause if MOM got her hands on it without realizing what it was No, best to take it with me, and just leave it in its box.

I stuck the box in my book bag, made sure I had all my notes and such, and headed down the stairs. I tried not to flinch at the changes when me gave me a hug as I passed by.

"Well, you look pretty this evening dear." She said, nodding her approval at my outfit. "And I see you remembered your ID collar this time." She said with a smile.

I nodded back and smiled in return. "Thanks mom. Yeah, I remembered." I said. Actually, despite the changes, mom DID still seem to be. . Well.. Mom. I sniffed a bit, inhaling her scent, which seemed to reassure me a bit. Things were getting VERY strange

"And you remembered to take your pills this morning too, right?" She asked.

"Uh, yeah. Of course." I replied quickly. Pill? What pills? Well, since I hadn't BEEN a were leopardess this morning, I'd just have to assume it was taken care of.

"Well then, have a good time with Mark and the rest studying." She said with a wink. "And don't forget not to stay out too late. You know how you get." She said with a grin.

I shrugged a bit uncomfortably, not exactly sure what she meant. "Sure mom. Of course. I 'll see you later." I said a bit hurriedly, and headed for the door. I breathed a sigh of relief as I cleared the house.

*This is too bizarre.. . Everything is still the same. . and yet so different at the same time * I shivered a bit, and headed down the street.

It usually didn't take me very long to get to Mark's house. It was only a few blocks from my own, a short walk. It felt a bit strange walking down the street looking like I did. No one seemed to find my being a were leopardess very strange, but I still got more than a few stares. An uncomfortable number from other young men around my age, making me blush a bit.

"There you are Jonni! Right on time, as usual!" I turned my head to look behind my, ears perking up a bit as Karyn caught up with me, walking to Mark's from the same direction.

"Ah, hi Karyn." I replied, pleased by the company. Suddenly half the looks I had been getting seemed to be directed towards Karyn instead. Karyn seemed to notice this and grinned a bit more, making her hips swish a tiny bit more than before, apparently enjoying the attention. I felt a sudden, intense stab of jealously before blinking and shaking my head. What on earth did I have to be jealous about? I was plenty good looking in my own right, if not quite as well built as Karyn

Argh! I shook my head to clear it. What was wrong with me? I just ad to focus. Get through tonight. And tomorrow Karyn and I would figure out a way to fix this mess.

"Oooohhh.. Nice collar Jonni. Very kinky." Karyn said with a giggle and a wink.

"Karyn!" I blushed a bit. "That's not what it's there for! It's a sort of ID bracelet "

"Oh, I see " Karyn still grinned a bit, nodding. "Makes sense. Still looks nice on you though."

"Erm.. thanks.." I said, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"Oh, by the way, did you bring the stone with you?" Karyn asked as we walked.

"Um.. Yeah.." O replied with a nod. "It seemed like a bad idea to leave it around. Why?"

"Oh, just curious." Karyn looked around a bit to see if anyone was in hearing range as we got closer to Mark's house. "I was just thinking of an idea is all. It's no big deal. It can wait till later though ."
