Lucy decided to watch and wait while she was tiny and out of sight. Approaching this properly was key. She fluttered to a neighboring rooftop and peered through windows to survey the inn.
In the center of the room, on his throne, sat the King of Rogues. Two wary bandits patrolled the room; Lucy noticed their axes before, and now she also saw deadly repeating crossbows at their sides. Two women inside waited on the bandits, bringing them food and drink at their orders. More villagers inside were bound and gagged, including the unfortunate wizard that was being used as the King's footstool.
Large casks of ale were easily visible behind the bar, with the more valuable wine likely in a cellar in the back. The scent of crackling bacon wafted from the kitchen. A few scattered boxes, chairs, tables and barrels were visible throughout the inn.
