Chaz was smart enough to know that he had to make sure neither Jonnie nor Karyn would be able to use the stone to reverse what he planned to do. So the next thing he said was "I wish that Jonnie and Karyn, and anyone else other than me who knows about the stone and its powers forget all about it."
Out at cheerleader practice, the girls had just finished working on their second cheer and had paused for a moment, allowing Jonnie and Karyn to talk with each other.
"Gee, Karyn. I never knew being a cheerleader could be so tough. I'm just glad this body the rock gave me is in good shape or I couldn't get through practice."
"Yeah, I know what you mean. But it is kind of fun. Maybe I could wish to be head cheerleader. Wouldn't that be a gas?"
"Karyn, you know that the . . " just then both girls felt a wave of dizziness for just a moment. Blinking, Jonnie continued " . . head cheerleader position is decided by a vote. You just can't wish for it and get it." For some reason Jonnie felt there was something wrong with this statement, but she didn't know what.
Karyn too felt strange stating the obvious "I know. But a girl can dream. Come on, It's time for the pyramid cheer and as the new girls on the team we're at the bottom."
The two went off to rejoin the practice, while inside Chaz plotted his revenge on the cheerleaders.
