"Unless some guy's, uh, selected you to be his wife," she finished, giving me an apologetic smile.
"What?!"
"Or girlfriend," she added, as if technicalities were important at this point. "Yeah, a male player probably wanted to play a father and selected you, or rather your character, to be the mother."
"I can't be a mother!" I cried hysterically. "I'm a guy! And not to mention straight..."
"You don't have to be a mother," she assured me, patting my shoulder. "Just log out. We'll meet another time."
"Yeah," I nodded quickly. "I'll do that then." I took out the map and tried to transport home, where I would have to go to log off; however, I got an hourglass icon, similar to the old Windows busy cursor, that constantly turned over with no result.
"It does that sometimes," she noted. "They're still having trouble with the influx of new users, and things are a little slow. Don't worry, I'll walk you back."
I sighed in relief. "Thanks, Suzie. Gods, I can't wait to be done with this mess!" I blinked as I realized that I had said 'gods' instead of 'God.' There were so many new things to get used to here...
"Hey, you're already pregnant," she said, some twisted form of encouragement. "How worse could things get?"
