I groaned. "Now what am I supposed to do?" I asked in my new, sensually feminine voice. "I knew I should have just locked that damned stone up " I said with a sigh. Turning into a girl was definitely NOT on my "To Do" list for the day.
"Well, it's not THAT bad " Karyn replied, trying not to laugh. I gave her another little glare. This was SERIOUS! But she still seemed a bit amused.
"Not that bad? Not that bad?!?" I hissed lowly, so my voice wouldn't carry too far. "I'm a GIRL in case you hadn't noticed!"
"I noticed, I noticed. And so have those boys over these it seems " Karyn said with a giggle, unable to help herself. I turned and looked over my shoulder for a second. Down the hall, Ted Manley looked away from the two girls he was wooing to look up at me.
He smiled.
I smiled back.
We just smiled at each other for a moment, before I noticed what I was doing and shook my head a bit, turning away. Ah! What am I doing? I asked myself. Meanwhile, Karyn had continued talking
"And it's not like being female is THAT bad. I've been female all my life, and Hey, are you paying attention? Or are you busy making googly eyes at Ted?" she asked with a giggle, noticing my distraction.
"I. . Was NOT!" I said indignantly, blushing a bit.
"Suuuuurree you weren't!" Karyn replied with a smug grin. "you know, maybe being female for a little while will be good for you." She said with a chuckle. "At least you really WILL learn to talk to girls "
"Karryynn!" I said as loudly as I dared, looking around nervously. "Quit making JOKES! This is SERIOUS! You know one wish can't undo another!" My stomach churned in worry. What HAD I gotten myself into here?
"Reeellaxxx " Karyn said, thinking. "I know it's serious, but it's not THAT bad. You can't reverse one wish with another, but you already proved you can MODIFY wishes with future ones and such. There's a ton of ways we could wish you back to normal, I'm sure. We just have to be clever and think them through." She said reassuringly.
"You're.. you're right. Just have to remain calm, and thank things through " I said, trying to relax, taking a few deep breathes. After a moment I did feel a bit calmer. I was tempted to look over my shoulder and see if Ted was still there, but I resisted the urge. "Okay. We just have to go somewhere and think things out, and get this reversed." I said.
"Of course. In a little while." Karyn said with a grin.
"Huh?" I asked, a bit confused. "Why not right now?"
"Beeecaauuseee. . you and I have cheerleading practice, remember?" She replied with a big grin.
"What? You can't be serious!" No way was I going to go to cheerleader practice! I immediately thought of the short cheerleading outfits I'd seen the girls wear at the few games I'd attended. Not that they would be too far a cry from my current outfit. And I DID look good in the school colors .
"Of course I'm serious!" Karyn smirked. "Your wish seems to have gotten us BOTH into the cheerleaders. I'd always kind of wondered what it was like to be one, though I never had the skill.. Or assets.. for it.." Karyn said, giggling and blushing a bit. "So I'm not going to pass up the opportunity NOW! Besides, you wanted to learn how to talk to girls, so we'll go learn!" She said with a little smirk.
I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. "But Karyn ." I said, trying to figure out what to do
