"Are you going to ask him out or what?" Karyn asked. "He'll be here in a few minutes ..."
"I don't know," Sarah said, a bit nervously. "I mean, he's nice. And fun to be with, but ..."
"But what?"
"Well, we've been best friends since grade school. I don't think it would be right. Anyway, I thought you'd be the one to ask him out before me," Sarah said.
Karyn looked astonished. "Me?"
"We'll talk about this later. Here he comes," Sarah said.
