"Are you ready sis?" Sherry called through the door. She had finally convinced Jon to accompany her to an over 40s dating night. He was less than happy about, but she knew that a mixture of boredom and resignation had eventually made him agree. Sherry had still not tried the rock again or revealed that she still had it. She almost had when, during Jon's first full day as her twin sister, his old brother and sister had referred to him as 'Aunt Sandra' causing him to burst into tears. But she had held back, at first she had told herself that she just wanted to teach Jon a life lesson, besides, the wishes were irreversible and there was a good chance these changes were permanent. But as the days went on she realised she was enjoying having a sister, even a reluctant one like Jon.
''Yeah you can come in now" came a less than enthuse tic voice.
Sherry entered and squealed with delight, skipping to stand next to her new sister and gaze in the mirror. Both women wore identical blue dresses with long sleeves and skirts that fell down to just above the knee, hugging the figure just right and showing the right amount of cleavage. On their feet were a strappy pair of light blue sandals with 3 inch heels and covered glittery rhinestones. Both had identically manicured French tip nails extending half inch past their finger tips and up do's set in the salon that afternoon. 4 inch silver hoops hung from their ears and bangles jingled on their wrists.
"Oh my gawd! Don't we just look adorable!" Sherry squealed.
Her former son just looked annoyed . "We look identical. Just like we always do." Sherry always made them dress in the same outfits, Jon had given up resisting.
"Don't be such a sour puss, we're going to knock them dead tonight!"
"At least let me where flats Sis? Please! I've been in my feet al day, they're killing me!" Jon hated wearing heels, particularly since had taken a job as a secretary. At the end of each day of making coffee and photocopying, his poor feet like they were on fire.
"Oh come on, it's just a few more hours. Man up!" Sherry countered, knowing that would get a sour look from Jon.
