Marie let out a little startled laugh and blushed. "Erm wow. I mean yes sure. Why not. Shall we say tonight at 8 at the bar across from the cafe?"
John stared open mouthed for a minute and then remembered himself "Oh really? I mean Yes that would be great!"
They exchanged numbers quickly and Marie left, just before Sherry walked back over.
"Who was that?" She asked.
Jon was worried about how his mom would react so made up a lie "Oh just a girl that wanted directions"
Sherry eyed him suspiciously "Oooookaaayyy. Well come on sis, we have to think about your future. Finding you a job...maybe even a man"
Jon cringed but obediently followed his mom
