"Jon, I'm right here," Jane said.
"Yeah? So? I was just asking if you knew where Mom was."
"But, I'm your mom. I don't know how it happened but I seemed to become younger and ..."
"Excuse me? What did you say? Jane, are you feeling okay?" Then he saw the wishing stone. Jane was holding it. "Where did you get that? Were you in my room?"
"Well, yes, I was in your room. I was getting your laundry."
Jon made an odd look. "Why did you want my laundry?"
"To wash it."
"Jane, you know Mom does the laundry."
"But, I'm your mom."
"Jane, you're scaring me. You didn't ... um ... use that stone. Did you?"
"What do you mean? Are you saying that's why I'm young all of a sudden?"
Then they heard the front door open. "Kids, I'm back."
Jane and Jon walked downstairs. Jane froze on the last step. It was Zoe, Jon's "former" 14-year old sister. Except, now she was much older. If Jane would have guessed, she'd say Zoe was how old she was before she became young.
