"Who?" Bethany asked.
Suddenly Karyn knew that for some reason Jon (who everyone else thought of as Bethany) now thought of herself as Bethany and had forgotten Jon.
'But why?' Karyn thought to herself. 'I don't think we made a wish that would have caused that to have happened."
Deciding that she needed to get the wishing rock to wish to know what had happened, Karyn said, "Forget it. I guess we should head on home. Do you mind if I come study at your place?"
"No problem." Bethany said. "Mom thinks of you as the better daughter anyway."
Once the pair made it to Bethany's room, Karyn began looking for the wishing rock.
It wasn't were they had left it.
With her mind only partially on studying Karyn wondered what had happened to the wishing rock. 'Who has the rock now?"
