Monday before the play practice, Mrs. Rose had some bad news to tell the class. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I have some bad news. Because the levy failed, we have got to cancel the play. I am sorry."
Bethany was as shocked as everyone else about the announcement. She was really enjoying being in the play.
Then she remembered.
'I am a girl until the day after the play is over.'
'The play is canceled, so it will never be.'
'Does this mean that tomorrow I will be me again.'
'Or am I stuck like this forever.'
With that last thought, Bethany's eyes rolled up into her head and all went black.
