"We want to talk to you about that." Said Robert, the team's star quarterback. "We can't think of anything more brave than what you are doing. We wanted to let you know that we are behind you 200%. Anything we can do to help, let us know."
Both Karyn and Jon had been fearing the worst, so both were caught totally off guard by the remarks from the two large (and very strong) boys. Karyn, who had always had a crush on Robert, felt her mind switch from desire (when Robert talked to her), to fear (when Robert asked Jon if he was doing the play), to relief (when Robert said they were going to support Jon), back to desire.
Jon's mind had a much shorter trip. His mind went from curiosity to fear to relief. Because of this, Jon regained his mental balance while Karyn was still shifting mental gears. "Thank you Robert, Justin." Jon said. "I hope that we won't need you help with anything too big. But knowing you are there to help will make if a lot easier."
Just then the first bell rang so Jon and Karyn had to hurry off to class. "Bye." Jon said over his shoulder as he and Karyn walked away.
