Meanwhile, at the mall Karyn saw Jon in the distance.
'Jon is a great person and all, but it is such a shame that he is a boy. He'd make such a better girl.' Karyn thought as she neared her best friend. 'In fact, having Jon a best friend is almost the same as having a best girlfriend.' Karyn concluded, but knew that she would never tell Jon that.
Jon, although he looked and acted more like a girl than a boy, showed no desire to be a girl.
"Hi Jon." Karyn said as she sat down next to Jon. Jon was drinking a diet soda.
"Hi Karyn. I love that top." Jon said, commenting on the new blouse Karyn was wearing. "It brings out the color of your eyes." Since gaining her larger breasts, Karyn had changed her wardrobe to one that showed her new assets better, not that Jon really noticed.
"Thank you, Jon. I got it at Becky's Boutique."
"They do have great clothes there don't they?" Jon concluded.
"So what are you up to?" Karyn asked.
"Mainly window shopping." Jon said. "I will have to head home in a bit. I told Mom I would stop by the grocery store to pick up some items for dinner and pick up her dry cleaning."
Karyn asked Jon, "Are you going to try out for the class play?"
"I don't know. I would like to, but I don't know if I would be able to do any of the roles."
Karyn knew what Jon meant. All of the guy roles were for muscle bound, he-men, and Jon wasn't even close to being one of those. Still she knew that Jon like doing drama and that his mother had loved it in high school and college.
"You should try out, you are about the best actor we have in the class, if you don't count Todd."
"Todd isn't an actor, he is a clown." Jon said.
"Yes. And I hope he is only acting as silly as he does." Karyn and Jon both giggled at her comment.
Having finished his diet soda, Jon and Karyn wandered the mall. Jon followed Karyn into Becky's Boutique and provided her input as she tried on several outfits.
Karyn didn't find anything that she wanted for the price listed so she and Jon left the mall. Karyn helped her friend as he did the grocery shopping and picked up his mother's dry cleaning.
As they neared their homes the two separated, promising to meet up again in the morning on the way to school.
