What in the world was wrong with Sarah, Jon thought. He stood up and watched as she walked away. "Those are some cute shoes," Jon said to himself. He quickly left the store he was in and headed to the shoe shop. Less than an hour later, Jon left the store carrying nearly his own weight in shopping bags.
"I guess I'd better get home."
Jon hopped into his car with his new purchases and sped out of the mall parking lot. Meanwhile, Sarah sat in her room contemplating the events of the day. Why would Jon act that way? It was probably his idea of some sick prank.
Suddenly, she heard the front door slam. She knew it was too early for her parents to be home, so she went downstairs to check it out. Standing in the front hall was Jon. Sarah couldn't help but notice something was a bit odd in the way he looked (besides the multitude of shopping bags he carried), but couldn't quite place it.
"What the hell are you doing here, Jon?" Sarah said.
"What do you mean, Sarah?" Jon replied, "I mean, like, I live here. Duh."
