"Why, mom?" Jon asked.
Jon's mom rolled her eyes. "I wanted to. I wish you'd call me Karen now, cuz callin' me 'mom' is all, like, icky."
Jon suddenly found that she was thinking of her mom as "Karen", her given name, rather than as "mom". "Karen, you have to give me that rock. We need to fix this and..."
"Wait!"
"What?"
"I wish Jon was all okay with us bein' girls like this, and not worried about it at all, and she was all happy and cool and stuff. Oh, an' I wish her girl name was Jennifer".
There was a flash, and suddenly Jennifer felt much better. Why had she been so worried about her and Karen? "Oh wow, Karen," she gushed, "This is all, like, great! Being this way is way awesome!"
"I know! It so totally rocks!"
"I'll say! So whatya wanna, like, do now and stuff?"
"What else? Let's, like, go to the mall! We can shop and pick up some boys and everything!"
"Great! Let's go!"
