Jon knew what he had to do.
He went downstairs to greet his father, who now thought he was his wife. Jon kissed the man, and was surprised--but shouldn't have been--to be kissed on the mouth.
Then he went over to the five year old that had been his mother, and said "You've been naughty today, Brooke," more for the benefit of his dad than anyone else--and then took the rock away from her. She held as tightly as she can, tried to cover the rock with her fingers, tried to make a fist--but after all, she was a five year old, and a grown person could easily overpower her.
"We never should have gotten her that pony, Janet," said Jon's dad.
"Don't worry," said Jon. "It isn't your fault. Anyway, I need to check up on something."
Jon went into the restroom and locked the door. Then (s)he tried to figure out what to do.
The main problem was that wishes just couldn't be reversed. His mom had wished herself into a five year old, then wished him into being her mom. Neither of those could be undone.
But wait a minute. His mom had wished herself into a teenager, then a five year old. Five year olds aren't teenagers, which means that the second wish reversed the first wish, sort of. Could this show him some kind of way around the rock's limits?
