Jon knocked on the door to Joshua's house hesitantly. She and Karen had walked to the house, and the more they walked the more Jon just wanted to run back home and curl up in the sheets. She probably would have if Karen weren't there. They had made small talk, mostly about where Jon had met Joshua, but Jon preferred not to speak. Her voice was a reminder of her body, and her body had quite suddenly come to feel like a prison.

Being a girl wasn't any fun once there was no way back. Her hair was no longer interesting or pleasant to run her fingers through. It was a constant distraction she had to brush behind her ear every third or fourth step. Her jeans were frustratingly tight, and uncomfortable to walk any distance in. And if that weren't enough, the damn pockets barely held her phone and house key! The breasts that bounced on her body the first day had become chafing sacks of flesh, neither novel nor erotic. The bra pressed uncomfortably in her shoulder, and at last she began to understand why Karen wasn't too happy about her D cup misfired wish. If that weren't enough, their journey seemed to be taking forever! She'd lost over half a foot of height in the transformation, and those inches added up when walking a mile! Perhaps the only thing grounding her was Karen's persistent friendship. Her presence was nice... No, not just nice. It was life saving.

Joshua answered the door out of breath. Jon offered an amused, if curt, giggle. "You didn't have to sprint to the door. We could have waited?"

"Huh?" He pants.

"You're out of breath."

"Oh... Yeah..." His words are punctuated by heavy breathing. "No, I was just, uhhh..." He gestures inside, then towards the stairs leading to his basement room. "cleaning..." He gathers himself and stands upright. "I'm glad you could come over Allison! You're going to love this old movie!"

Jon brightens up, if only a little. "Oh yeah! I was telling Karen about that! She's pretty excited to see it too."

"Karen?" Joshua stammers, then turns his gaze to the second girl standing there. He pauses, as if noticing her for the first time, which may very well be the case. Joshua extends a rigid hand for a handshake. "Hi! I didn't know Allison was bringing a friend. My name's Joshua. We met in study hall." He concludes his brief ramble with an uncomfortable laugh.

A bemused smile grows on Karen's face as she shakes his hand. "Hey, I'm Karen."

"All my stuffs in basement if you want to follow me." Joshua turns around gestures them inside, eyes wide the entire time. First Allison, and now Karen?! Two of the most gorgeous girls in school are in his house... Alone. Watching dumb nerdy movies.

Karen whispers in Jon's ear. "He's almost as nervous as you, when we first met in jr high." She titters.

Jon pouts, "W-what! No, I wasn't that bad!" She begins to glow red in the cheeks.

Karen just chuckles and pushes past her friend to follow Joshua down the stairs and onto a futon in the basement, where Josh flips on a TV. Karen is relaxed, and strikes up a conversation with their nervous host as if they were old friends, which turns out to be just right. They really did have many common interests, and once Joshua calmed down, the pair shared a banter not unlike Jon and Karen. They got the same jokes, made the same references, and seemed to know how to tease each other at just the right times. Jon sat in relative silence, a twinge of envy growing in her heart, but for who? With more gusto than she realized or intended she plunges herself into the conversation. She laughs at Joshua's jokes, even the ones that aren't that funny. She asks questions about lore and trivia, even when she knows the answer. And she gives Joshua full attention every time he tells a story. By the end of the night, all nervousness and hesitation has been dispelled, and all moods are lifted.

When the sun finally sets on their evening, all three are sad to have to say goodbye.
