Just then his mother entered the room, "Robin I am sorry it took so long for me to get here. No one seemed to know which hospital you were taken to."
"I am really okay Mother." Robin said, holding his lucky rock and hoping that his mother remained calm and didn't give away his secret.
"I can see that now, but when I first heard you were taken away in the ambulance, I was very scared."
Remembering his manners, Robin said to his mother, "Mother, this is Susan, she is my room mate. Susan this is my mother, Mrs. Thomas."
The two exchanged hellos.
"I was able to speak to your doctor before I found your room. He told me that while you appear to be fine, he wants to keep you over night. I imagine that you would want one of your night gowns to sleep in tonight, rather than that hospital gown. I will head home in a bit and pack you a bag for tonight and for tomorrow when you can leave."
"Thanks Mother." Robin said out loud. To himself he wondered, 'Is it good that she is treating me like a girl?'
'I guess it is after all I still have the fake breasts glued on my chest and everyone in the hospital is acting like I am a girl.'
Robin had almost decided that it was best that his mother was pretending that he was a girl.
After an hour of making sure that Robin was okay, his mother left promising to return after dinner.
