Knowing that the principal took fire drills seriously, Robin quickly finished his business and headed out of the bathroom.
He opened the door to the hall and immediately noticed that this wasn't a fire drill. Thick clouds of smoke filled the hall, choking Robin and making his eyes water.
Fighting off panic, Robin tried to remember where the nearest exit was. With his hand on one wall, he began moving down the hall, hoping to find an Exit sign.
Coughing, Robin made it about twenty steps before he doubled over in a coughing fit. The air was less smoky down near the floor. The smoke had filled the hall nearly to the floor, so even this close to the floor the air wasn't smoke free.
Robin, still coughing, managed to crawl about another twenty feet, before he collapsed and all but passed out.
Robin reached into his pocket and pulled out his lucky stone. "Please don't let me die." He said.
