"I am sure that my mother will okay it." He said, feeling for sure that nothing would stand in his way; no dragon would be too tough for him to slay, for him help out Miss Goodbody. "I'll ask her tonight!"
After dinner that night, Robin asked his mother if he could talk to her about school.
"Sure Sweetie. What is up?"
"Miss Goodbody, my drama teacher, asked me to play a part in the play this coming Friday."
"Isn't it a bit of short notice."
"Yes." Robin said as he reviewed the strategy he had mapped out as to how to talk his mother into the idea.
"You know that way back when, even before your time, how guys played all roles in Shakespeare's time?"
"I am not that old, Sweetie." His mother said, "But, yes, I am aware that they used to only let men act on stage. What does that have to do with what you want?"
Slipping his hands into his pockets, feeling his lucky stone, Robin launched into his final pitch. "Gina. She had a part in the play. Well, she left school suddenly. Miss Goodbody wants me to help out. She said that I am the only one who can help her with this. She asked me to play Gina's part and I wish you would let me. I really want to help her."
