Belatedly fixed. I realized the brackets didn't come out right.

Jon (in Zoe's body) couldn't get to sleep. It was hard to sleep in his sister's body, and the whole day had been upsetting.

Then she heard some crying from outside the room. She got up, cracked open the door, and saw Zoe (in Jon's body) crying. Not loudly, not a lot, but enough that it was obvious she was upset about something.

"He hates me," said Zoe.

"Who?"

"Grandpa, he hates me. He was talking to you just last week and he said that you were the person he trusted the most. He thought I was a complete idiot who never thought about other people and would put other people in danger...."

"He told me that last week! I didn't know why he was saying that but he must have been planning to give me the stone already. And... wait a minute. Your wish. You wished we'd know what the other knows. So now you know just what he told me last week. Well, it serves you right."

"Jon, so help me... I still have the stone and I could do a lot worse to you..."

"Which is why he said that in the first place! He knew you'd do things like this with the stone. That's why he didn't want you to have it!"

"He was like this for eight damn years. Every time he talked to you he said that he didn't trust me. He was always nice to me but I never suspected! I should have been given this stone in the first place! He doesn't care about me..."

"And you don't care about anyone else. You're only upset because your behavior finally bounced back on you. You keep acting selfish, taking things, abusing people... And Grandpa figured it out and he realized you can't be trusted. Now give me that stone."

"And you're going to do what?" He held up the stone. "Don't you wish you had this? But that's right, you can't say the words."

Jon struggled with Zoe over the stone, and realized she was touching it and had a chance to make a wish. The stone, after all, was Incan. Whatever native language it had, it certainly wasn't English, so if it allowed English wishes it must allow wishes in any language. And Jon was only prevented from saying the words in English.

She tried to remember her high school Spanish, which she, fortunately, got good grades in, and spoke her wish in that language.

I wish that I could make wishes in English by saying "Stone..." but only if I mean for it to be a command, not by accident.

"What was that?" asked Zoe.

"Stone, make Zoe paralyzed until I say otherwise."

Zoe suddenly froze in place and Jon grabbed the rock for herself.

"Now, what should I do?" said Jon. "I still can't reverse the other wishes, so I can't tell anyone, and we're swapped until you wish us back. And I'm not letting you have this stone to wish us back." Which meant she'd have to be Zoe for the forseeable future. Was there anything she could do to make her life easier?
