"If Mom kept saying this is a wish stone, maybe it could give me wishes!" Paul said, as he ran away. "I wish Mom and Dad would let me do whatever I want."
By the time Jane caught up to her son, she wondered why she had been chasing him. If he wanted to use the wishing stone, why not let him? He should be allowed to do whatever he wanted.
She turned around and went back to the phone.
"Karyn? Are you still there?"
"Yeah, I'm here. What happened? Where did you go?"
"I was chasing after my son Paul. He took the stone from me."
"Well, at least you got it back," Karyn said.
"I didn't get it back. I let him have it."
