Then, with a burst of inspiration, Jon said "Wait! Say something like ... um ..." Jon thought a moment. "Like I wish the car was yellow or I wish Jennie was fully dressed. Or ... I know, just say I wish I knew the truth about the stone.!"
Jon looked at his mother to see what she would do.
"You know, I really don't have time for your games, Jennie. Karyn is waiting in the car and we have to go. Now."
"But, Mom."
"Get dressed, Jennie. I'll be waiting downstairs." She left Jon's bedroom, taking the wishing stone with her.
