Karyn decided that maybe if she could get on this woman's good side, maybe she could turn this situation in her favor.
Sue's expression changed from concern to disappointment. "I can sense what you're thinking, you know. You still want to find some way out of this ... maybe even fight back against me." Her eyes became intense. "But you won't get the chance."
Karyn's eyes went wide. She wanted to shout for Sue to stop, but her mouth was still gone, so she could only yell in her head. Sue could hear her, using her witch powers, but it didn't do any good.
"I wish ..." Sue started, but then paused. Did she really want to do this? Did she really want to punish this girl? She obviously cared about Jonnie and went through all that trouble to save her. But Jonnie didn't really need saving. And Karyn wasn't trying to save Jonnie. She was trying to save the boy that Jonnie used to be. She figured that the girl might have even tried to change Jonnie back into a boy. A disgusting boy. Her face twisted into anger, at that thought. Then she finished her wish. "... you realized how all men are disgusting creatures who only want to ruin the world and subjugate and rape women."
Karyn's eyes went even wider, as new thoughts and beliefs entered her mind, replacing old ones. And she began to wonder what could have possessed her to want to turn Jonnie into a boy. She was obviously better off being a girl. And a morally-superior lesbian one at that!
