Kanako considered that for a moment before saying in a nonchilant voice,
"Of course there's nothing wrong with it if you are." Kanako said avoiding Jo's gaze. "I mean it's not like you can choose who you fall in love with. It's totally natural... just bred in... part of who you are."
She trailed off and continued to divert her gaze from Jo. She was shuffling nervously and was clearly uncertain of what else to say.
Jo tilted her head a little to the side and peered searchingly at Kanako for a moment before asking in a very quiet voice, "Are you?"
Kanako flushed red and shuffled her feet nervously.
Finally Kanako said in a very quiet voice.
"Yes."
