"Uh-huh." Karyn didn't sound very accepting of the idea, but who could really blame her?

"I wish that Karyn is a guy for the next five minutes." Instantly, Karyn transformed. Standing in front of Joanne was a guy... with long blonde hair and big breasts.

"Joanne! Colin! You'd better come, dinner time!" yelled Karyn's mother--now Joanne's mother too. Meanwhile, Karyn was examining her new body as Colin in shock.

"We'd better just go," said Joanne. "Wishes change reality--if you're a Colin now, everyone thinks you're a Colin. I'll explain it after dinner, okay? I'm glad I didn't eat at the food court. And don't worry, you'll change back in five minutes." Joanne hoped that that was correct. She had, after all, not really had any experience with wishes wearing off. Would the wish wearing off mean a second reality change or would everyone just wonder why Colin was a girl?

They went down to eat dinner, but Joanne furtively checked her watch constantly until Karyn changed back. Fortunately, nobody noticed anything strange; it seemed that changing back by time limit did change reality back.

Joanne spent the rest of dinner hoping that her new mother wouldn't ask her about something she couldn't reply to. She did have to tell her "Mom" what her school day was like, but that wasn't hard to do by changing some references to being a guy.

Joanne and Karyn were told to wash the dishes, and didn't have much choice. At least Joanne finally had a chance to tell Karyn what had happened.

"First of all, my real name is Jon. We're friends, but I'm not your sister. At least I didn't start out being your sister. My Mom got the magic stone and wished I'd be more like you. This made me your sister. It also messed up her life, and I fixed that, but I couldn't fix the sister part."

"But you've always been my sister!"

"No, Karyn, I haven't. You just think I have. I'm not even a girl, and I don't care how many clothes we ever shared, since we're twins and I bet we did."

"I don't know what to believe," said Karyn. "I know what that magic stone did. It changed me into a guy. It has to be real. But my sister? This is a lot to handle."
