In the back of his their minds, they suddenly knew how the wish had been interpretted. Basically, one would be able to look at Jon and recognize him to some degree.
"Well, I don't know if that made it better or worse, Jon, depending on how the other wishes are interpreted. With any luck, you'll just look like my brother." She paused, and then her face brightened. "Or maybe it'll just have you keep losing weight until you and I weigh the same, and your hair and my hair are identical. After all, those were the only changes being made prior, right?"
Jon hesistated and then nodded. "Yeah. In any event, I can't think of anything to make this better, and it'd probably be a good idea to think any ideas over first before wishing them. You want to do something about your uh, problem?"
Karyn hesitated. "I probably shouldn't, but let's give it a try." Jon handed her the rock. "I don't know if this will work, but when I think back on the wording of the wish . . ." she closed her eyes. "I wish that the stone would only grant wishes, and not prayers."
She opened her eyes, and saw Jon looking at her with his mouth hanging open. "Well? I'm afraid to look. . ."
