A couple of hours later, his mom came into his room. "I'm hungry."
Jon, who was well into his new Diablo II game, said "Well, go fix yourself something to eat. Don't bother me. I'm too busy."
Jon's mother was growing impatient with Jon for not fixing her something to eat. Afterall, she was a kid now. But somewhere in her little 10-year old mind, she still had memories of the rock and its power.
Quick as a flash, she snatched up the rock and Jon looked over at her, startled.
"Give it back," Jon said. "That thing is dangerous."
She stuck out her tongue. "No way, you big meanie. Not until you give me something to eat."
"Come on, you can wait a little while longer. I want to play my game."
