Sarah, newly intelligent, knew very well that "rich" was a matter of opinion and that her family wasn't really rich. She wasn't a millionaire or anything like that, after all.
"Good. Now, I wish that I'm not rich, but that I'm upper middle class. I wish I was at home."
She reappeared in her room at home. Everything looked just like it used to, including the expensive clothes and jewelry she had asked for, and she was no longer wearing a Hooter's shirt. Jon and Karyn weren't there--in the time it had taken before she could get rid of the work wish, they must have gotten tired and left.
"I wish that this stone only works for other people when they touch it, but that I can use it at any distance, but only when I want to, not by accident."
Now, she could continue where she had left off. She had last wished that Jon would have only girls' clothes and forget about the stone. The stone makes people think the result of the wish is reality. But Karyn knew that Jon didn't always wear girls' clothes. Which means that when "Jon has girl's clothes" became part of reality, the explanation must be something that just gave him the clothes recently--perhaps, someone was pulling a prank on him.
She could change that. She could wish that Jon had always worn girls' clothes, or wish that Jon wears them because he really likes them, or something similar.
But did she want to? What bothered her most about Jon was that Jon wasn't attracted to her enough to do her bidding. Maybe she should wish for something else. Or maybe she should wish for something having to do with Karyn--she didn't want another rival, and now that Karyn had become a big-breasted blonde, who knows what would happen? So many possibilities, and now that Sarah was intelligent, she could figure them all out....
