"Oh no you don't!" Jon snapped, plucking the stone right out of Sarah's hand.
"Hey, give that back!" Sarah yelled. She covered her mouth at the sound of her much deeper and boyish voice. She'd never get used to this.
"Now way. Something this powerful belongs in the hands of someone who deserves it. Someone like me. Not some loser like you," Jon said. He paused, thinking that it sounded strange saying something like that. But it's how he felt. How she felt. A smirk formed on Jon's new female face. It looked very similar to the one that Sarah usually had, when she had a devious thought.
When Sarah saw that smirk on Jon's face, she grew worried. Why was she feeling like this? She was the one to be feared, not this loser before her. But was he a loser? Jon wasn't the same person he was moments ago. Now he was more like her. A lot more like her. And she was a lot more like him. In this new reality, Sarah was the "loser". And as much as she wanted to deny it, she felt that it was true. Or, at least, she felt like Jon thought of her that way.
"Please, don't make anything worse," Sarah pleaded.
"Hey, I'm not an idiot," Jon said. They both looked at each other oddly. Didn't Sarah say that to Jon just minutes earlier? Jon shook his head, clearing that thought, then continued. "The stone belongs to me. My grandfather gave it to me. It's my inheritance. So I can use it any way I want."
"Please, change me back to normal," Sarah pleaded. "I don't want to be a boy."
"Ha! Tough luck. You're the one that made that possible. I think you should live with it."
"No, I can't. I don't know the first thing about ..."
"You'll figure it out," Jon said, cutting her off. "But it might not be enough."
"Enough?" Sarah asked.
"Enough of a punishment." That smirk appeared on Jon's face again.
"Punishment? For what?"
"God, are you really that dim? After how you treated me and Karyn and all the rest of my friends like shit, how can I not punish you?"
"But you don't consider them friends anymore, do you?" Sarah asked. Maybe asking that question could avert her "punishment". If Jon was truly like Sarah now, then he wouldn't care how people like Karyn were treated. They were all "losers" to him now.
"Well ... no. I wouldn't be caught dead being friends with them. But I still remember what it was like, how you treated us. And I should at least punish you for how you treated me."
Sarah gulped. There had to be some way out of this. "I ... I'll do anything you want. Just don't punish me. Please?" she pleaded.
Jon looked like he was thinking it over, then said ...
