Jon returned to the popular table with his new hair. The bell rung signalling the end of the lunch period, and everyone began to wander towards their classes. "Hey Sarah, you wanna hang out at the mall after school?" Jon asked Sarah before they separated to go to their respective classes.
"Yeah, that sounds good." Sarah grinned evilly as she saw a beaten Karyn walk by.
School went by slowly but surely, without anything interesting happening. Jon met up by Sarah's car a convertable her Dad had bought her. Along the way each of their identical heads of hair flowed in the wind.
Once at the mall they headed into the first department store. A couple hours of trying on clothes and girl talk later they sat down at the food court for dinner. "It's been so nice hanging out a real friend, every second I'm with you I realize more and more that Karyn is terrible person. Shes done nothing but hold me down."
"Well that's why I wanted you to hang out with my friends so much. I knew you would realize how bad a person she was." Sarah hadn't noticed until right now, but she had been enjoying herself so much with Jon, she was really starting to like him. She could see so much of herself in him and it made her feel so good. This was the best wish she could have ever made. "Well her lose is my gain, I feel like your becoming my best friend." This made Sarah blush a bit, she didn't normally care much about her friends.
"Yeah me too, I don't think I've been this happy in a long time." Jon stood up and discarded his tray. "Why don't we have a sleepover tomorrow after cheer-leading practice, just the two of us."
"Yeah that sounds great, now lets get outta here." Sarah drove Jon back to his house they said their goodbyes then she sped off to her own home.
Jon returned to his copy of Sarah's room and put down the purchases he had made during the day, and checked himself out in his full length mirror. He couldn't put his finger on it, but he felt odd about his face, maybe he would have to do something about it in the morning.
