Sarah, meanwhile, was fuming. She knew she had screwed up the wish, and had no idea how to fix things. Although, she still wasn't sure if she wanted to fix things.

The first couple of days had been great. More people were agreeing with her. She had talked her dad into buying her an expensive new pair of earrings which he never would've caved on before. But when he said that he just had to have them too, she knew things were going to be easy.

She didn't mind having to wait to use the bathroom in the morning. It was part of the trade off, she figured. It was a bit freaky when her dad and boyfriend started wearing makeup, and even stranger when her parents suggested a family outing to the tanning salon.

No, what bugged her was when Biff had refused to kiss her in public. "I don't want to look like some kind of lezbo," he'd said. And the last straw was when she'd gotten home this afternoon. She wanted to do some shopping, which always took her mind off the stress of the day. So she approached her changed father, who was sitting in his den reading the latest issue of Teen Vogue.

"Daddy," she said in that cloying voice she used when she wanted something.

"Yes, princess," he said, a bit annoyed that his daughter had interrupted an article about celebrity beach style.

"Can I borrow your credit card? I-" Sarah was interrupted by her dad chuckling.

"You want me to give you my credit card? And let you run up the balance? Get real,"

"But daddy, I-"

"No buts, young lady. Besides, I had a rough day at the office. I need some retail therapy of my own. I saw the cutest pumps on sale at Aldo yesterday."

And that was why Sarah was in her bedroom, fuming. She couldn't believe the way her father had talked to her. He was being so... selfish. They all were. Sarah was starting to realize that everyone was now just as self-centered as she was. She took the rock out from under her mattress and looked it over. There had to be a wish that could make things better, right?

Her train of thought was interrupted by the sound of the doorbell ringing. Sarah quickly ran to her window and peeked outside. Jon was standing at the front door, looking impatient.
