The rest of the day went without incident. Jon had the new experience of having people compliment his clothing and hair. As long as he did not have to hold a conversation about fashion-related subjects, he got by without scandalizing his peers.

He avoided running into the original Sarah, not wanting her to see him mid-transition. Since this morning, his emotions had been rather unstable, and he had no idea how he would react if she laughed at him. His caution, however, proved to be unnecessary. The blonde seemed to be absolutely mystified about the rapid changes happening around her. She spent every minute gazing around her in a mixture of awe and delight.

After school, Jon said goodbye to Karyn, noting that they were now the same height. He took his time heading home, feeling nervous about seeing his family. When he reached the front door, he took a deep breath, only to wince as the movement caused a distinct jiggling in his chest. Then, he entered the house. Inside, he was greeted by another Sarah double.

On seeing his new look, she gasped. "Jon, I almost didn't recognize you! Finally came to your senses, huh?" She indicated his clothing.

"Uh, yeah," Jon answered, peering closely at this person. For the life of him, he could not tell which family member this was. "Karyn helped me out. I'm still not used to it, though."

The mystery person shrugged. "Whatever. It's an improvement, anyhow."

As the girl started walking away, Jon decided to take a guess. "Um Zoe, are the others at home?"

She stopped and gave him a look of mild irritation. "No. They're out shopping. And I'm Mikey. Geez, don't you know your own sister?"

"Oh, sorry."

Mikey's expression softened a little. "It's alright, I guess. After all, it is kinda hard to tell us apart. When you first walked in, I thought you were Zoe for a moment."

Jon grimaced. Mistaken for his sister? The absurdity of it all only showed how much things had changed.

Misreading the look on his face, Mikey gave him a sisterly hug. "Aw, don't feel bad. It was an honest mistake. Look, I know what'll make you feel better. Wanna try on shoes with me?"

Jon politely refused and retreated to his room.
