Jon hurried to Sarah's house; he'd known her since kindergarten, though they were friends back then, and people didn't move often where they lived. He rapped sharply on the front door, and mere moments later it opened to reveal a slightly heavyset man wearing the same clothes everyone else had been. "What are you doing here?" he asked, looking disapprovingly at Jon's attire.
"I need to speak to Sarah. Is she here?" Jon asked.
"Yeah. I guess you can come in and see her, just don't stay long," Sarah's father said, walking away from the door with a flippant welcoming gesture.
Jon stepped across the threshold, going right to Sarah's room and not bothering to knock before shoving the door open. "Sarah, we need to talk!"
She sat on her bed, tossing the rock back and forth between her hands. "Knock first, you creep! I could've been changing or something. What exactly do we need to talk about? I haven't done anything with your precious rock."
His gaze gravitated to her ample cleavage, but the only response his body gave was a half-hearted boner which faded moments later. He filed it away for later. "You're lying. You think I haven't noticed you did something? You probably wished for everyone to be like you or something, though I wouldn't expect you to think to make sure I noticed it," he snapped, angrier than he thought he could be. Her blush and quick denial proved his suspicions. "I knew it! Give it back, Sarah, I'm going to fix what you broke," he demanded, holding his hand out.
"No. I'm perfectly capable of fixing it myself, thank you very much, and I wish you were back in your own bedroom and didn't want to get the rock back anymore." Before he could protest, he disappeared, and she smiled, deeply satisfied. "How dare he think I'm too stupid to use it. Just as soon as he learns his lesson I'll fix everything, even though I don't think he really deserves it," she ranted to herself.
Sarah's phone rang; Biff was on the other line, and he was just dying to tell her about the shoes he just found on sale at that new store in the mall. She laid back on her bed and chatted with him, so glad to finally be able to have a conversation with him that wasn't about sex or football.
