Out of the office Linda wandered blank-eyed, straight towards the High School; through the gates, the corridors, and at last into the girls' locker rooms. From here her original son, then son's best friend (girlfriend?), had abandoned the shower to steal her life, and Ms.___ Black's clothes were still left on the bench more than an hour after class had ended. But the nerd Kyla Leeson was also there hiding in the corner of the showers, wrapped in a towel with a crumpled cardigan in her hands and tears in her eyes.
"How can they be so cruel?" she sobbed, "those were my only glasses." Sarah and other girls had been bullying Kyla all year but this was the furthest anyone had gone:
At first she couldn't find her glasses and clothes after she got out of the shower, so she had made a slow, quiet and fruitless search nearby. By then the locker room had completely emptied out: feeling less embarrassed she had gone to her locker and found the explanation. Her clothes had been messily shoved into the back and her knitted cardigan lay in front with the message "Kyla or Ugla? Try this on instead" scrawled on in pink. An arrow pointed to a red lace thong laid on top of the knitwear. She had rifled through the rest and not only were her glasses missing, but her panties too. Sick of it all, she had run behind the shower curtains, leaving the humiliating lingerie in her locker.
Now Linda, oblivious to the sobbing in the room, put on the clothes she found in the open locker, thong 'n'all. Her gaze focused at her locker, then darted around: where was her cardigan? Her eyes scanned the room but missed the teen in a towel walking in front of them. Past the teen however, Linda Leeson glared at her cardigan on the floor with her perfect 20/20 vision. Right. Some clever bitch or bitches scrawled "Hey Uglinda. Nice panties" on it. Now it came back to her.
After showering she had found her defaced cardigan and then started interrogating all the girls left in the shower room. She had argued most of them into talking, but some were too quiet. She was left with a web of testimony and alibis that supposedly exonerated Sarah, but she was unconvinced.
Sarah, Dani and Melissa had tried to bully her all year for her old fashioned style and niche interests, but Linda was never one to back down. She dreamed of becoming a lawyer and she would never let some preppy sluts hold her back. Her forceful personality made her a target, but she enjoyed the challenge and would make a fuss over any way someone might try to insult her.
Her smug smile betrayed her feelings about the attempted taunt at her thong which she was absentmindedly tugging. They see me as a threat... well they should. She had bought it last week to use in her seductive plans. Plans to seduce that is. Even if Linda really had no love life or experience with boys, she had convinced herself that she could get back at Sarah by going for her boyfriend Biff. He wasn't that appealing, certainly not compared to the real men in her novels and comics, but she knew it was the best way to get back at the bitch.
In reality, Linda was not very likable and most students found her confrontational and snobby. The "interrogations" earlier were very awkward and had chased everyone away since most girls hadn't noticed the cardigan at all until Linda kicked off about it. She had a nice figure and her face was pretty enough (Jon's mom is always a borderline MILF) but her overinflated sense of self was at risk of collapse as she marched off with her seductive plan in mind.
