"Really, like, her sister? Ha, I'd love to see that. Jon Madsion being all pinked out like that like a little McMillan Barbie. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy, but it had to be hilarious for you!" Karyn faked holding up outfits in front of herself. "Should I go with the pink miniskirt or the pink shorts?" She laughed. "It's alright, Jon-boy, you're fine now - you're back, just put it out of your mind and let's get on with our lives."
Jon's face turned a beet-red.
"But what about the stone? She's still got it, but if we can get it back, I can try to wish that the whole thing never really happened, or that I'd forget about it or something. I can't be walking around with all this baggage!"
" would you care a little less if that baggage was Louis Vuitton?" Karyn could barely hold in her laugh after the joke, but after a few giggles, looked back at Jon seriously, sizing him up. He wasn't bluffing. "Ok, so we get the stone. When?" Karyn's voice lowered a bit. "You know this means we'll probably have to break into her house right? Right, Jon Right? Jon?"
Jon's attention, much like his head was looking right past Karyn off into the distance - and directly at the locker of congregating cheerleaders chattering away in the distance. He wondered what kind of gossip they were talking about today. Probably the big breakup between Steve Farber and his on-again-off-again squeeze Tiffany.
"JON!" Karyn stomped on his foot as he snapped out of the trance. In terms of loud, obnoxiousness, Jon almost preferred the other Karyn. She was dumb and ditzy, but at least she was nice. And she made him laugh - this Karyn was bordering on mean, and frankly, she was a little boring." Jon didn't tell Karyn about that part of his Paige experience. She didn't need to know that she was a pinked-out Barbie wannabe too - or that he was the reason she got a makeover in the first place which started her on that path. Telling her that would only complicate things. At least wish Karyn had some direction with life even if it was hairdressing, and was nice. He just hoped Sarah could keep her mouth shut.
"C'mon Jon, when are we going to pull off this caper, and how?"
Jon's brow furrowed. "Thanks to what happened to me, I've got inside information on that house and all her favorite hiding spots. We'll have to go there when everyone is away at work, or when everyone is sleeping. I've got just the plan "
