While surveying a newly discovered region of Hollow Earth, a Monarch research team uncovers fossilized remains belonging to an unidentified species of heavily armored dinosaur. Before the scientists can investigate further, powerful tremors shake the cavern. A living member of the species emerges from beneath the rocks. The enormous spiked creature, later identified as Anguirus, seems surprisingly uninterested in attacking the humans. Instead, it turns toward a distant roar echoing through the tunnels. Could this ancient monster share a forgotten history with Godzilla?
