Jon woke up the next morning to a loud house once again, his parents laughing and excitedly talking about their new closets, Mikey and Zoe yelling about their own situations. His phone kept buzzing with more updates to group chats and pictures from people throughout town. Well, let's face it, he thought, and opened his closet. And stared.

Inside was a wall of purple, pink, and shimmering glitter. Ruffled dresses with cartoon unicorns. T-shirts with sequined rainbows. Leggings with smiling clouds. Jackets with glittery patches up and down each sleeve. Over on a shoe rack were a selection of mary-jane style shoes with light-up heels, all in bright pink and purples. Meanwhile, over on his dresser, was no makeup, but a number of different ribbons to be put in his hair.

"Okay," Jon slowly let out. "So I'm dressing like a giant six-year-old girl today. That's fine. No, really. That's fine."

His phone rang. "I've got a wonderful selection of pantsuits," he heard Karyn immediately launch in with. "It's like the exact same pantsuit but there are 20 of them in different colors. More boring than anything else. Could be worse. How about you?"

"I didn't know there were this many unicorns in existence," Jon got out.

Karyn laughed. "What does that mean?"

"I mean, it's a closet for a six-year old. There is so much glitter, Karyn. Everything is purple. Everything is pink."

"Well, at least it will be relatively comfortable. And no heels, Jon!" Karyn offered.

"I guess. How am I going to attach ribbons to my short hair, though?"

"Better ask your mom. I'm looking forward to seeing you like this, though, I'm sure you'll be adorable! Definitely less attractive than yesterday, to be sure."

"I would hope so!" Jon laughed as he hung up. He rolled his eyes. At least there's no bra today. He pulled open his underwear drawer and groaned at the cartoon princesses for his selection. It felt absurd that there would be pairs in his side, but apparently that's how the witch's curse worked. After sliding on a pink pair, he looked through the closet options, eventually settling on a purple tunic dress with - you guessed it - a glittery unicorn on the front. He pulled it down his torso, noting that his body did seem a little more fit than usual. Perhaps that's the soccer team's influence? He groaned. These were definitely clothes he could practice soccer in, weren't they? Jon eventually chose some pastel purple tights and a purple pair of mary-janes and completed his look before turning to the mirror.

I look absolutely insane.

Shaking his head, he grabbed a handful of the hair ribbons and headed downstairs. His mom had a large white chef's hat and jacket on, looking surprisingly in her element in the kitchen. His father was sitting at the table in a mechanic's jumpsuit reading the paper, with a giant wrench on the table in front of him.

"Dad, did you really have a wrench in your closet that you'll have to carry around all day?" he asked, bewildered.

"Bizarre, isn't it? Makes me feel like I'm one of the suspects in Clue. If you ignore the grease-stained jumpsuit, of course." His father folded his paper, and smiled at him. "Very cute, Jon. I think Zoe once had a dress just like that, about ten years ago."

"Oh, Jon!" his mother sounded both amused and delighted. "How precious!"

"Mom, can you help me with these ribbons? I don't know how to get them in my hair with it this short." He held them out to her as she ushered him into a chair.

"You really should let your hair grow a little longer for October, Jon. I don't know why you pierced your ears so you'd be ready for this month, but keep your hair so short. It's just poor planning!" she chastised him while doing her best. "There, I think that should work. Your unicorns have now been clipped in!"

Zoe came storming in and grabbed a banana. As opposed to the previous day, there was now a satisfied smirk on her face. She gestured down at a white t-shirt, a remarkable leather jacket and some black leather leggings above combat boots. "I think these were meant for a guy, but I absolutely love this," she announced.

"I hate this!" Mikey yelled. He came around the corner in an exact replica of the Southern belle dress, parasol, and hat that Jon's father had worn the previous day. "I don't want to carry this stupid umbrella!"

"It's just for a day, sweetie. And you look wonderful, just like your father did yesterday. Don't you want to look as good as your father?" Jon's mother tried. Mikey grunted at that.

"Here, Jon, Zoe, I'll drop you both off today," Roger announced. "Let's hit the road."

Zoe glanced over at Jon, amused. "Didn't I have a dress just like that when I was a kid?"

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. Maybe it'll be yours tomorrow."

"Do you want to borrow some of my old unicorns that Mom has stuffed up in the attic?"

"Be careful, Zoe, or I'll tell mom and dad that you're picking on me," Jon crossed his arms with a fake pout.

They both laughed and headed out to the car.
