Paige hesitated for a second, before Sarah lunged at her.
In a panic, she shouted, "I wish I was back home!"
The stone flashed, but when the blinding light faded, nothing had happened.
Paige McMillan stood there with her mouth wide open as Sarah tackled her and regained possession of the stone.
"You ARE home, little sister," she remarked snidely.
"You might be unhappy now, but I'm sure after a while, you'll love it. All the attention, the cute clothes, the money. It'll be like the life you've always wanted! And with who as a better role model than me?"
Paige sunk her head in resignation. There was no way she was going to get the stone back any time soon. She'd have to be smart about it.
That meant having to be cute. Having to play her part. Having to learn from Sarah. Having to be Paige McMillan.
She didn't like it, but she could handle it. She was Jon Gibson, friend of Karyn, and rightful owner to the most powerful object in the world. He was going to get it back, even if it meant being a she for a while. He just hoped it wouldn't be too long.
