Karyn glanced around the room. In one corner was a notebook and pencil that some stagehand had probably been using at one point. She picked it up and held it up in front of her. "Okay, hear me out. One of the first things we need to do is have a way of knowing exactly what you've copied. Are... are you okay with me using the rock?"
Jon stepped close again and put his hand to her face. "Karyn, you can have anything you want." He leaned in and kissed her again. It was sweet, it was intense, it was enough that Karyn was ready to melt into it again. She felt her eyes closing, Jon's hands on her back, her bringing her hands up behind his head. Then she caught herself and slowly pushed away.
"Was that you or was that Mrs. Kline?" she asked, and then made a face. "Oh God, I just heard how that sounded."
Jon laughed and stepped back to give her space. "Probably a little of her mixed in. There's definite... compulsions? But I like it, honestly. It feels... really good."
Karyn's mouth formed a thin line. "But how much of you liking it is what's been copied on?"
"But are some of these copies necessarily bad?" Jon countered.
Karyn pointed at him. "Jon, look at how you're standing. How much of this is involuntary?"
Jon glanced down. He had one hand on a hip, his other hip cocked out, his other hand behind his head. It was unquestionably feminine, and it was a pose meant to show off. He slowly smiled at her. "Still not necessarily bad."
Karyn stared, and then picked up Jon's purse off the floor. She pulled out the rock and held it out. "I think... it's pretty obvious that the wishes we make will start messing with our heads. And I don't trust you right now to make a wish that Jon would make. Can we... are you okay with us fixing it so that we can only make wishes together, when we're in agreement?"
Jon nodded at her. "That's placing a lot of trust in each other, but I'll always trust you."
Karyn paused. "And when you briefly lost the rock earlier... I don't know where it went for those few minutes, but what if someone else had found it in the cafeteria? We need..." she turned and gestured at the door, all the world that lay behind their private space right now. "We should make sure that no one else can use this rock, either. It's dangerous, and even worse if we don't have any control over it."
She felt Jon come up behind her and thread both his arms around her waist again, hugging her tightly from behind. He kissed her on the side of her head, and she felt the bulge beneath his skirt begin to awaken once more. "That's incredibly smart. Go ahead."
Karyn held the rock out in front of her. "I wish that no one else would be able to make wishes on this rock besides Jon and me. And I wish that Jon and I can only make wishes on this rock when we're together and in agreement."
There were two pulses of heat in her hand, and she looked around. "I have no idea if that worked," she admitted.
Jon continued to hold her tight to him, but took the rock out of her hand. "I wish Karyn was wearing something as hot as she's making me feel right now."
Karyn whirled around. "What? No, Jon!"
But he just smiled down at her. "Looks like you're still wearing the same clothes. I would say that you disagreed and so the wish didn't work."
She stared at him, then swatted him in the chest. "Don't do that! What if you were wrong?"
"Then right now, you'd be dressed really, really amazing." That part-doofy-part-confident half smile was back.
Karyn rolled her eyes. "Okay, well, the other part. Can we make a wish to make a list of what you've copied?"
Jon nodded. "If you think it will help."
Karyn took the rock back. "I- no, wait, we wish that this notebook would keep an updated list of everything that Jon has copied from other people, who he copied them from, and what the precise wording was."
The rock pulsed again. She flipped open the notebook. There, past a few pages of lighting cues and notes about costume adjustments, was a newly formed list, effectively typed. Karyn ran her finger down the list, noting the homework from Nelson and the pen from Holly at the top, scanning down as the list got stranger, then stopped, audibly sucking in a breath. "Holy shit, Mrs. Kline really did do a number on you."
Jon kissed her neck, and looked over her shoulder at the list. "Oh, right, I forgot she thrown 'energy' in there too. It was a lot at once."
"Probably explains why you've got such a dramatic streak right now," she murmured. "Oh. Huh. It's got both the nails thing from Tiffany and from me on here. I wonder if they're both active but one is just overriding the other right now."
He pointed at the line with Steve's name on it. "I can think of at least one thing on this list that we're keeping."
Karyn swatted at his leg again and turned to face him. "Jon, you're slowly grinding it into my ass, and I'm struggling to think straight right now."
"Oh, Karyn, I'd say you're thinking very straight right now," he smirked.
"No, I'd say with how good you look in that cheerleading uniform and how well you're presenting yourself, I'm not thinking very straight right now. But stop, let's focus." She looked down at the list again. "Just because you copy something... if you copy something or borrow something in real life, just in general, you wouldn't be stuck with it, right? Like you could copy homework but then you can throw it away once you're done with it. So why can't you do the same thing with these things you copied? The wish you made didn't force you to be stuck with them forever, you just needed a way to throw away what you're done with. So let's just make it that, I don't know, if we cross things off this list, then that's you throwing it away."
Jon smiled, genuinely. "Now that's perfect." He reached for the pencil, then stopped. "But if you're so worried about these copies affecting my mind, then maybe you should be the one who can cross things off."
Her eyes widened. "You'd trust me to do that?"
"If you're in your right mind? Absolutely." He kissed her again.
She couldn't keep from grinning. "God, you're perfect."
"And you can make me even more so. Go ahead, make the wish to make sure this will work."
Karyn held the rock out one more time. "I- no, we wish that I can review this list of things that Jon has copied, and be in my right mind when doing so, and if I cross anything off this list, then that copied thing would be thrown away and Jon would no longer have that feature."
The stone pulsed. Karyn quickly put it in her pocket and took the pencil from Jon. "Okay, time to make sure it worked. Jon, you look... very good in that uniform, but if one more person comments about you not being on the sideline tonight, you're going to end up joining them before we know it. So just as a test..." She ran the pencil through the line from Sarah, bold and direct but careful not to rip the page.
There was a brief flash of light, blinding them both. When it settled, Jon was standing in the center of the room, back in the clothes he'd started the day in - which were still soaked and covered in the yogurt and everything else that had splashed all over him in the cafeteria.
Karyn's eyes lit up. "It works!"
"Oh, gross," Jon made a face. "Oh, the smell has gotten worse somehow. Wow, this is awful." Without thinking, he immediately tore his shirt off and tossed it in a trash can, started to pull down his jeans and, looking down, realized the stains and smell had worked their way through to his boxers as well. He hooked his thumbs back up and pulled those down as well. And was stepping out of it all before he heard Karyn whispering, "Wow."
Jon looked up, then looked back down at himself. There were marks on his chest where Sarah's bra had been straining against the muscles he'd taken from Biff. His eyes trailed down and he saw that Biff's gift had also left him with an incredible set of abs for the first time in his life. His body looked a little like he'd been skipping leg day for years, but... in the center of it all, standing at attention, was a dick that was definitely not his. No, 'dick' was the wrong word. This absolutely was a 'cock'. He had no sense of length, but it was huge, and definitely not what he was used to.
His eyes scrolled up to look at Karyn, and he felt himself settle back into a pose that Mrs. Kline might have struck. "I admit I wasn't thinking," his eyes baring into her. "But... do you like what you see?"
Karyn was staring. "Holy fuck," she breathed.
The wolfish smile returned. "If you want," he murmured.
Karyn took a breath. "No. Not now. Later, maybe. But-"
"Later, then. But for now..." Jon stepped forward, cupping her face in one hand, firmly gripping her back with the other. "We fixed a major mistake and protected ourselves from future ones," he breathed in a low voice. "For now, we should celebrate at least a little."
And Jon pulled her in, tight. And Karyn couldn't help but agree as she kissed him back.
