2 more weeks passed by without incident. The brothel was renovated to have a nice cream colored paint job on the walls. The fourth whore was pretty. Her name was a nice one. It was Destiny. The pimp also got the others lessons. Now they all could do Swedish and Shiatsu massages. This made a lot more customers come by to spend their money. That was good enough to bring up the quality. We were now a 3 star establishment. The money coming in was good. Getting more stars would bring a ton of status and perks. I would not be surprised if we would not get a promotion at some point. We were simple guards. Maybe we would be able to manage some things for the gang. All of the whores here were happy with the treatment that they were getting from the customers. We were too. When we were needed, we stepped in immediately to resolve the problem. At the sushi restaurant, we took our turns making nice dishes for the customers. We were walking home from the brothel together on a nice Saturday evening when we heard a high pitched chirping sound. We turned to it.
We saw a shirtless young man glaring at us. He was wearing black swim trunks with flames on it. "I have finally found you traitors! After you are dead, I can finally return to the Puraton Tribe." he said. We were not the only ones on the street. There were lots of humans around. The hunter drew his trident and charged at us. We needed to defend ourselves. Now that we were in this situation, we had to win the fight. It was easy because this hunter was only level 11. With 5 of us and only 1 of him here, the conclusion was obvious from the start. Humans were screaming. It was a pretty jarring thing to see. Some of them were even calling the police and catching the whole encounter on camera. "How dare you steal members from our tribe! I will punish you all." he snarled. "It's your fault that you didn't bring back enough converts to replace us. I'm never going to apologize for taking the role I deserve." Wyne said. "You could have lived as an honored caregiver. Now, you're going to die a failed warrior!" the tribal hunter snarled as he slashed his trident at him. We overwhelmed him with force.
Knocking him out, we had to figure out what to do with him. He had reverted to his true form on the ground. I smiled and said "We all need to get rid of him. Let's take him to the restaurant." I said. We grabbed him and carried him over. When Tetsu's father opened the door, he was shocked. "What's going on!?" he demanded. I said "This merfolk is a hunter. It's not fair at all, but he tried to kill us for leaving our tribes to live on land. Can you help us get rid of him?" His face looked from the black and white merfolk to us all. "I-I... I think... there i-is a... way." his fingers twitched. That was good news. He was not instantly turning us away. No one would blame him for not wanting to be involved. Even we would not hold it against him. I was sure that the warriors would have too much pride to hold a grudge when this was tribal business. We could use a method of detaining him. Instead, he made us drop him off in the back of the restaurant. He took out some rope and bound his arms together. He then looked at us. "I can... handle it from here. I'll see you tomorrow." he said. It was a dismissal.
