The hustle and bustle of the cafe hadn't woken Jon initially but after about half an hour he slowly started to open his eyes. Being around so many other people, he felt his babyish tendencies coming to the forefront. He could still think like normal but he felt himself reacting exactly like a baby would, being completely at the mercy of his emotions and impulses. As he slowly became awake he felt a bit irritated but couldn't tell why exactly. His diaper was still dry, as far as he could tell anyway. His stomach rumbled and he felt a hunger growing quickly from mild to all consuming. He squirmed a bit in his pushchair, hoping Karyn would notice. He tried to undo the clasp but his hands were far too weak and clumsy now and he failed miserably.
He looked up and saw Karyn deep in conversation with a young woman he remembered from the swimming pool. He tried to quietly speak to Karyn but found he couldn't find the right words. Instead he let out a few uncomfortable moans and continued to struggle against his straps. Karyn quickly spotted him and he heard the other woman commenting on his being awake and noted how cute he was, even in this fussy state. She predicted her sone wouldn't be too far behind in waking up and noted how he was always very hungry when he woke after a swim.
Jon nodded strongly when he heard mention of hunger. He motioned at Karyn's chest and tried to get his needs across. It was quite obvious what he needed, especially to Karyn. She unstrapped him and easily lifted him into her lap. She lay him down sideways and discreetly guided his mouth to her nipple inside her breastfeeding top. The two women didn't miss a beat and their conversation continued at pace. Jon started to drown out what they were saying, becoming fully engrossed in feeding from Karyn's swollen breast. He drifted in and out of sleep as he fed and Karyn moved him to her other breast when the time was right.
By the time Jon finished and started to wake fully he looked across and saw that this other woman was feeding her own baby in the same way. Her own baby was a real baby, not affected by the magic like he was but Jon could relate to this baby more than he could to Karyn and her new friend. When both babies were feed and content the women carried them over to a soft play area to the side of the cafe and placed them both safely inside while they sat outside and continued their chats.
Jon smiled at the baby next to him and waited to see what the baby would do next. Jon suddenly felt a bit self conscious around a baby. He was afraid he'd dbe found out and exposed as not being a real baby. He waited to follow the boys lead and soon they were playing next to each other but not quite playing together as they were both a bit young for that. Jon saw a doll across the floor and felt a strong draw to it. He stood up to go and get it but quickly fell back onto his diapered butt. He was determined to do it and so stood again and this time gave it his full concentration. He managed to string 3 steps together before stumbling when he reached down to grab the doll. As he struggled to stand back up he suddenly felt his diaper growing warm but he didn't let it bother him. He was fully focused on the doll and started to play with it. He crawled back over to the boy to show him the doll but he didn't show any interest in it.
Jon played next to the boy for what felt like hours before he noticed Karyn and her new friend were both looking down smiling at their babies playing together. The next thing he knew Karyn was lifting him out of the play area and saying goodbye to her friend. She commented on his diaper being wet but said she'd change him at home as he mom was waiting outside in the parking lot. Jon was looking forward to get some time alone with Karyn, hoping that his communication skills would return and he could talk more with her about what the future might hold for them.
