Michelle was about to cut her losses and let the gender-confused emo boy march off in Amber’s jiggly girl body– a view that the ever-so faint Mikey part of her brain found quite enjoyable to look at– when suddenly she hatched an idea. She carefully thought out the wording of her wish before speaking.

“I wish that my previous wish of making people realize their true identities only applies when I touch them with my left hand, but touching them with my right hand makes them fully aware of only their life and memories before the swap, and I wish they don’t mind or remember me touching them to trigger this change and they don’t dwell too much on their sudden consciousness.”

With that long-winded wish, Michelle ran to catch up with Amon, finding it slightly interesting yet annoying how her curves seemed to bounce independently from the rest of her.

“Wait up, Amon. Let me try one more thing to help you.” Michelle requested.

“Haven’t you already ruined my life enough?” The emo boy droned in his girlish voice.

“I think this might fix your problems. Sorry in advance if it doesn’t.” Michelle said, reaching out and touching Amon’s smooth arm with her right hand.

As soon as she did there was an immediate effect as Amon’s eyes lit up as his identity shifted.

“Woah! Like, how did I get here?” Amber scratched her scalp before looking down at the monotone boy clothes draped off her impressive figure. “And like, what am I wearing?”

“Amber? Is that you?” Michelle asked with a tentative smile.

“OMG Michelle yes! What are we doing here? We’re, like, totally missing cheer practice!”

“You’re right, but I’m not feeling so great. Why don’t you go on without me, tell coach Gaffer I’ll be there tomorrow.”

“Okay girl! Hope you fell better!” Amber said with a bubbly spirit before bouncing off.

“Oh wait Amber!” Michelle caught her while she was still in earshot. “Maybe you should change your clothes”

“Good idea!” She said, remembering her boyish rags.

“Oh and sorry if you start slowly turning into a boy.” Michelle added under her breath as her cheerleader friend bounced away.

Seeing how invigorated Amber seemed after recovering her old identity had Michelle thinking about her own life before the switch. She knew next to nothing about being Mikey– just memories of using the stone to wish for video games, feeling guilty about wishes getting out of hand, and feeling a general annoyance but overall brotherly love towards Jon. She didn’t actually know about Mikey’s past or have any of his memories from before the stone.

But she wanted to learn. Who did she used to be? Who is Mikey Madison? She wanted to bring the ghost of that boy back to life, somehow.

She hatched another wish, and was once again careful about her wording.

“I wish that I could freely toggle between full consciousness as Michelle Lisle and Mikey Madison by saying the phrases ‘go go Mikey mode’ and ‘go go Michelle mode’ respectively, and that the other consciousness never goes away entirely but is simply taking a backseat to whichever consciousness is driving at the time- also that whoever is driving can mute and unmute the voice of the other consciousness at will and we both retain knowledge of the stone and this wish.”

Michelle almost ran out of breath by the end of the wish, and the stone glowed but she felt no different whatsoever. She was worried it didn’t work, but then she realized she probably needed to say one of the two activation phrases to feel it take effect.

“Here goes nothing… go go-”
