"So ..." Sarah said, sitting down on Zoe's bed. "What's up?"
"Just repainting my nails. I want to make sure I look super hot for my date tonight," Zoe said.
"You have a date?"
"Yeah, didn't I tell you? Biff finally asked me out."
"Biff?" Sarah nearly shouted, standing up suddenly.
"What? You said I should try to catch his attention."
"I never said ..." Sarah stopped suddenly. This was a new reality. Apparently, she wasn't dating Biff in this new world. Had she ever dated him?
"Sure you did," Zoe said. "But you know what? Really, I wish we could switch boyfriends, because I like yours a lot more." She laughed. "But I guess that'll never happen."
Actually, it just did, Sarah thought. Because of what Zoe wished, Sarah now had Biff back as her boyfriend. But who was Zoe's boyfriend now? Whoever it was would be the next link in Zoe's wish chain, as would Biff.
