The 4 of us waited for the bus. When it came, I was was able to pay our fares. Each player started FOG with 100 lin. Because it was a promotion for the first week each player got 5000 bonus lin. That was a whole lot. It was more than enough to pay for the bus in a small town. We rode it to the end of the line. It actually went to a whole different town. It seemed the company bus was serving the entire county. That suited us fine. We wanted to be far away from our crimes. It was time to make a new life for ourselves. None of my merfolk companions knew anything about working in the human world. At least, that was what I thought. The kiss of conversion gave them all the memories that their victims had. That was good. They had general concepts in their heads. It was when we were walking the streets that we passed a sushi place. All of us were carnivorous. We ate both fish and shrimp in our tribes. The were drawn to the raw fish being prepared by one of the chefs. They were hungry. I told them we could try to get employed. "Maybe we can learn to make food like that." They agreed.

The man who owned the store had no use for 5 new chefs. He also did not want to have to train all of us. "C'mon! Isn't there something that we could do to prove that we would be a good fit. We'll even take shifts so it's only one of us each day." I begged him with my hands clasped. He looked at me and then sighed. In FOG, all the NPCs were dynamic quest givers. That meant anyone could give you a quest if they wanted something, or if something happened to them. He sighed deeply before crossing his arms. "Alright, I can give you a chance. My good for nothing son doesn't seem to want to take over the shop from me. I still need him to learn. It wouldn't be proper if he inherited the shop without knowing how to prepare any of the dishes. If you can get him here for lessons, I don't mind you guys learning too." he said. "Where can we find your son?" Nabo asked. "Probably in the park with his delinquent friends." the man said with a roll of his eyes. "I swear! Instead of studying or learning a useful skill, he'd rather sit and pretend to be some thug! He wouldn't last a month in a real gang."

Under the circumstances that we currently had, there was nothing to lose from going to find him. "Of course we'll bring your guppy back to you. Just tell us what he looks like and we're going to get him." Wyne said. The man gave us a detailed description and his name. Wyne, Steele and Dennis were all extremely confused. Children did not have names. We made our way to the park. We found Tetsu Tanaka squatting near a tree with 3 of his friends by him. "There he is. We obviously can't hurt him, but I know we're not taking no for an answer. Let's get him to the restaurant." I said, pointing him out. "So, this is what human settlements are like? Guppies get names at birth and can flagrantly go against their elders' wishes!? It really does not make any sense to me." Steele observed. Dennis nodded in agreement. He asked "How are they so populous and powerful!?" I was not going to say anything about it. We approached them together. "You need to come with us, Tetsu. Your father needs to teach you how to make sushi." Dennis. He was a warrior, so he was taking the lead. I was fine with it.
