Even though we had accomplished this major feat as guppies, there was still one more enemy to go. Nabo was a good warrior. We joined in and helped finish the second aggressor. We backed away to show that we were not trying to attack Nabo. He looked us up and down. "What are Puraton guppies doing in Trouta Tribe lands!?" he asked. Our leader spoke up after catching his breath. He was really low on health. "We are on our Prowess Trial. It will show that we are ready for adulthood. We were heading towards the sacred cove when we heard the sounds of battle. Warriors like us would be worthless if we let something so dishonorable happen and did nothing to help." he explained. Nabo crossed his arms. "Hmmm. You guys have more honor than some of the warriors of my tribe then." he said. "Let's go back to the cove. We all need to catch up to the others." I said. Our leader nodded his head. We were leaving when Nabo blocked all our path. "Tell me more about this 'sacred grove'. We know of no such thing in our tribe." he said. "We will tell you on the way." the leader said to Nabo.
Fully divulging information to him was fine. He could not come back to his tribe after killing 2 of them. The conspiracy was against him. Everyone would know what had happened if he came back and the dead warriors never returned. His princess was also taken by another warrior. Nabo was big and strong. He was able to guide all 6 of us through his tribe's territory without any issues. We were telling him about the grove and someone spilled the beans on the curse. I was a bit nervous about that. He seemed to take it well enough. "That explains the reports from the scouts. We'd see all male groups of guppies leave and then females would appear on the return trip." I guess it would be hard to hide this when all sorts of tribes could see them openly make the journey in broad daylight. With him with us, merfolk backed off. They did not want to mess with him. We were able to make good time towards the cove. We reached the entrance with 2 hours to go. Inside there seemed to be 2 separate chambers to pick from. Our leader picked the left one. All the other tribesmen were not here.
